WorldNet was founded in 2007, to provide an Online Payment Gateway service to domestic and international eCommerce merchants. We’re based in Dublin, along with the European Headquarters of the many Web 2.0 companies, including Google, Facebook & Paypal.

Our objective is to establish WorldNet as a leading international provider of online payment and transaction processing services, through the delivery of secure, innovative online payment products, coupled with a range of enhanced revenue generating and cost reducing services.

Executive Chairman - Billy Saunderson

A highly experienced and respected payments industry expert, Billy Saunderson was formerly Chief Executive of euroConex Technologies Ltd (now Elavon Merchant Services), the fourth largest Card Payment Acquirer in Europe. He was previously Head of Card Payments, Bank of Ireland, and a Board Member of MasterCard Europe, with almost twenty years experience of the European Card Payments market.
Chief Executive Officer - Will Byrne

With more than 20 years experience in the Payments Industry, Will Byrne was formerly Head of Acquiring with Bank of Ireland and was a member of the BOI team which created the euroConex joint venture with Nova Technologies Ltd in June 2000. He was Head of Sales and Marketing and subsequently Head of International Corporate Sales with Elavon MS. Will joined WorldNet as CEO in October 07.
Head of Product Innovation - John Clarke

John is an Engineer, with a PhD in Computer Science. With over 15 years experience in the Payments industry, John was one of the founders of Flexicom in 1993. He held the role of CTO in Flexicom, responsible for all product strategy and innovation, as well as product delivery, until the purchase of Flexicom by Elavon Merchant Services (formerly euroConex) in 2004. John was the Head of Product Innovation for Elavon MS until October 2008, when he accepted the role as Head of Product Innovation at WorldNet.
